springclean02 Posted March 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2011 I know there have been alot of threads on this before but I couldnt find my answer 100%. I read somewhere that you can get $2k cash per day for playing in the casino. Is this per room or per person in that room ? I know there have been alot of talks about NCL charging a fee on some other ships but anyone recently come off the Epic and did they have a charge ? garycarla Posted March 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Last I heard, $2k per day per credit card. That is still alot of money gone. Then add in whatever cash you bring (we often bring $2-3k), and it is becoming a very expensive cruise. LOL!

Lots of info on this on the Cruise Casino board here. Here's the way it works: You can go to the Casino Cashier cage, and have them give you cash from the credit card tied to your room charges . I think there is a $2,000 limit, not sure if it's per day or per card, but obviously the credit limit on your card comes into play as well. The advantage is that there is no fee for this service, whereas if you use the on-board ATM, you're limited in daily amounts, and pay front and back end fees. Of course, they're hoping you'll use this cash in the casino...
dchinski Posted May 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2012 NCL's web site shows a 3% fee. Is this new or is there a way to avoid this charge.
NayRN Posted May 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Definalety no longer "free"! There is a 3% service charge...but still less than their ATM fee and possibly a fee your institution may charge for a "foreign transaction"!
