Just wanted to make sure....Cabin 6232 on the Spirit is one of the largest on the ship for that size cabin? Any pics of it anywhere? Or go with the smaller cabin balcony in cabin 4220, the price difference is $140, but then again there are 2 adults and 2 kids.....I put a 24hr hold on the room, so I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your quick response.

Go to cruiselinerooms dot com and check out the photos for this room on both the Legend and the Miracle (same class ship). Balcony looks amazing, but room is standard balcony sized and sleeps 4.

Speaking from experience of having 4 in a balcony room - If given a choice, Balcony in 6232 would win it for me :D.

Have a great trip !

Take it, take it, take it!

If you are balcony people, it's worth it.

If you aren't balcony people, you will become balcony people. ;)

Here's a link to my pics of 7258 on Carnival Spirit (interior and exterior) which, as has already been said, is really just the same (except for only two people): http://www.shari.com/2011/01/carnival-spirit-cabin-7258-aka-balcony-porn.html

Oh, and to answer a question that kept coming up before we cruised and may help someone searching later: our balcony had one lounger, two tables, and three chairs. Each chair looked the same, but they each had a very different width/feel when you actually sat down - a true Goldilocks situation! (Also, one reclined a bit.) Our steward brought us a second lounger on request, but he couldn't remove any chairs (no place to store them - no big deal). The chairs/lounger were all the blue nylon type. The cabin next to ours - sleeps four with slightly longer balcony - had two loungers by default. Anyway, our steward (go Sai!) was happy to get us the second lounger, so don't be afraid to ask. :)

I can't wait for our spa cabin on Splendor, but after 7258, that balcony will be such a let down... :)

Had 6232 on the Pride, LOVED IT! The balcony is beyond great! You will be so happy with this room! BTW, we were only two people and still got this room. Someone here on this board always comes by and states that "you will be bumped" if you are only 2 guests, blah, blah, blah.

You got me so excited now. I can not wait. This is my exact cabin on the Pride. I am so glad you enjoyed it and got in with just 2 people. We will have 4. Me, my mother and two daughters. We are so excited. This is our first balcony room. We usually only go with oceanview but on this ship you cant pass up balcony prices. How did you like the ship overall??

These larger balcony rooms look fantastic! If they are quad share, can you still book for two passengers only? I will place a do not upgrade not on the booking.

Can a group of four request this cabin and "bump" me out?

I don't think a group of four can request it and have you bumped, but if there are no cabins left for four and they need one, Carnival could bump you to a two-person cabin. It's a risk you take if you book a cabin that has a higher capacity. :(

DD and I are booked in 7258 on the Legend for a 12-day Baltic cruise next year. I was so excited when I saw that cabin available, I snapped it up! We're definitely balcony people and it was great to get that size balcony at an 8K price. :D Thanks to all of you who posted pics of these great balconies!

I have to laugh! We have cabin 7258 on the Legend next May 4th cruising out of Venice. We are crazy balcony people and I almost jumped in the air when I saw this was free when I was looking to book. We have had afts and aft wraps, but never this one. It really is a thing of beauty. The price we paid was crazy good and for us a bigger room is not important.

I do have a question, for those in the know. Did you hear much noise from the storage room the stewards use? We tend to stay up late and with the port days being so early on this itinerary I don't expect we will sleep in because we will be on the go all day long.

We never heard a peep in 7258 (on Spirit) from the steward area, and we like to spend *lots* of time in the room. (On this trip a little more time than we liked - 7258 still wasn't quite long enough to escape the chain-smoking neighbours, lol.) I was also listening for noise since I'd read here that it might be a concern. Zero issues!

Still waiting for someone to design a Club 7258 membership shirt. ;) Enjoy!
