Sorry for a few threads lately, but I have one more question about booking. I could book right bow ( I want to sooo bad), but would leave me struggling for a few weeks because of a family problem. The rates right now for the cruise to the Bahamas on the Norwegian gem on May 5, 2012. My question is, do you think within the next month, since its so far away, that the rates would change a lot and go up?

Well, impossible to know for sure, but you may find that it increases by as much as 10% tomorrow, since NCL has been advertising for a month or two that prices are to rise on April 1st. And (up to) 10% has been tossed around as a planned increase. Pricing is all about supply and demand and increases in cruiseline costs.

It hard to be sure, we typically book a year in advance and are happy with the price. That doesnt mean I dont check all the sales to see if we can save a few more $$$.

I booked our Feb cruise for 2012 over a year in advance and it has already gone up $800 from the price we payed.
