jessandtwo Posted March 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2011 We're going to book the Conquest for a cruise this summer, it will be our first time on Carnival. We are looking at the following cabins, 8232 or 1042. Any pros/cons to either cabins/decks? They both look like they have cabins above and below them, just wasn't sure if one deck is better than the other. Also we were looking at an aft cabin, either 7447 or 7453 are still available. We tend to like aft cabins, due to the larger balconies but it seems on Carnival the aft cabins are smaller with no couches? Any help would be appreciated. Peg_S Posted April 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2011 Been on two cruises, both were with aft cabins. Obviously love them. They both had a couch. Freedom was 7446, one off center. I've read the center cabins are a touch narrower, for some reason. Destiny 8330. Bonus balcony space. Check out photos of the back of the Glory...see if the first and last afts on the 8th deck have these (50% wider than the rest). NICE. Love love love aft balconies. You get to stretch out! The in-laws were in 7446, it had a couch. Your PVP should be able to look and tell you if the cabin has a couch. The balconies were the same size. We sailed in an aft wrap on the Triumph and liked it much better than just an aft.
idlenote Posted April 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2011 On the Conquest 7447 does not have the couch, also I don't know if the bathroom has been fixed, last time the commode didn't work right. Next go round we're back in 7451 and no problem with that cabin. I'm kind of hit or miss about the aft balcony other than entering and leaving port because the balcony can be hot in the afternoon since there is no breeze. On the other hand, the back alleyway is always very quiet and to me that's worth the extra price.
MicksMom Posted April 1, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2011 We are booked on the Panorama deck for the 3rd time on the Conquest. Love the location. Close to all the action but not many cabins so much much foot traffic. Also forward port side balcony is a blast for watching the people who had a little too much fun in Cozumel.
