Med on the Magic, Earliest flight out of Barcelona...

Will be getting off the Magic and flying out of Barcelona on the same day, what is earliest departure I should look at. How far away is the airport from the cruise port?

We are booked on Delta leaving at 11:20am on 7/20.

The Airport is 20/25 mins away from the port. I would suggest pre booking transport as queues for taxis are long although they move fast.

You would need to be at the airport by 9am to clear security etc.

 

As an aside once through security and in the terminal there is very little at the international departure gates just some snack bars.......

Check with your carrier, but usually international flights require you to arrive closer to four hours prior to departure.

WE did the Magic twice from Barcelona and we flew out @ approx.11:00 a.m. It was super easy going through security and faster than the U.S. We took the Disney transfer and being the first off the ship and zipped to the airport on a large bus. Like said before there are snack bars inside. The new airport was built next to the old airport and we found very easy to navigate. Hope you have a great trip.:)

Thanks Grand Isle Joe. Just booked my air. Roundtrip from Miami, $1013 per person. Our flight leaves Barcelona at 1225 on departure day, sounds like it should be fine, thanks for the advice.
