gtaylor Posted April 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Hi there; Are you SURE that you're thinking of the St. Peter's Guest House on St. Maarten/St. Martin? There's a popular place on St.Thomas with that name, but the location that I'm familiar with on St. Maarten (Dutch side) is much more a 'local' attraction than something for cruise ship tourists. Although we didn't attend, my recollection from last Fall is that they were having a fundraising picnic to raise some funds to rehabilitate the grounds, with a plan to work on the Great House (much needed) at a later date. We considered going, but when it came up in a conversation with a friend who lives on the island, the question was "Why would you go? There's nothing there." If you're sure that it's on St. Maarten, let me know and I'll try to dig deeper into it. stonfield Posted April 27, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Hi Gary, I should have put this question on the St. Thomas board. My mistake. Thanks Kerry Franken
