ukbpl Posted April 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2011 My wife and I and kids 18,15, and 10 just returned today from 5 night trip to Cozumel and Costa Maya and here is a short review. This was our 3rd cruise(Freedom and Liberty 7 nighters previously). One balcony on deck 8 with one inside across the hall. Check-in smooth, no lines and on ship by 11:30 and spent Day 1 relaxing by the pool. Day 2 at sea crowded by the pool and not as many chairs as on the bigger ships but still an enjoyable day. Day 3 in Cozumel took a 15 min cab ride to Mr Sanchos for the day. Rented waverunners and ate and drank by the beach (we did pay as you go and not all-inclusive). Paco the waiter outstanding and our group voted this day our favorite of the trip. Day 4 in Costa Maya went to Pez Quadro (more quiet and peaceful than some of the other places IMO) and walked along the shops by the beach. Again overall enjoyable day. Experienced the most ship motion by far compared to 2 previous cruises while in port at Costa Maya and that night but no motion sickness for our group. Day 5 at sea less crowded at pool, rock climbing, line dancing, bingo and quick painless disembarking this morning. Food excellent overall, service outstanding (Clinton and Wilson in dining room) and Melvin cabin attendent and overall great vacation with no major issues. I'll try to respond to any questions you might have!
bigeagle12 Posted April 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2011 What balcony cabin did you have on deck 8? We are sailing in 23 days.
ukbpl Posted April 8, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 8, 2011 We were in cabin 8524 front right of ship for those of us that call it that! Room was fine and met our needs. Occasionally noticed sink draining slowly and one evening the shower head fell off but maintanence came and fixed it in about 10 minutes no big deal.
