smyemar Posted April 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2011 Just wondering if there are any AI beach clubs in St. Thomas? Just had a great time at Nachi Cocum and looking for something similar for next years cruise. TIA:)
Ms411 Posted April 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2011 Not a beach club, but Bolongo Bay has hotel access day passes. You can google for the current details. They also have a "Rum Hunt" contest this month on their website, so you might as well try it for the opportunity to win a hotel stay.
SkersCruiser Posted April 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2011 I would like to know as well!
kenorus Posted April 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Just emailed laura at bolongo bay. It is 60 a day per person so you have access to all non moterized watersports and chairs. So i emailed back all beaches are free in st thomas so you can sit on the beach for free. Also she said chairs are 5 a person and you can buy drinks and eat at the restaurant. depending where you dock it is either a 30 minute drive or 10 minutes. Hope that helps. It would be nice to know if anyone has been there as i sort of like megans bay.
Ms411 Posted April 15, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Doesn't Bolongo also let you use the pool and some showering facilities? Best Western Emerald Beach has a similar day pass, I think. This is closer to Crown Bay.

osujohn Posted April 18, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2011 Have a party of 7 going to St. Thomas in June on Freedom of the Seas. Would like some more information on Emerald Beach and the use of there resort by cruiser's. I heard it was complimentary if you showed your sea pass card but would like as much info as I can get. Also how far from the RCCL dock is it and best way to get there.
Betsy's Mom Posted April 18, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2011 Use of the beach is free as all beaches in the VI with the exception of Magens and the US Park Service beaches on St John are open to the public. You can rent chairs and shade, patronize the restaurant and bar. When we were there you could not use the pool unless you were a registered guest. Rest rooms were available. The easiest way to get there is by cab, about $6 per person each way. It is not walkable from where you will dock. There is no to very poor snorkeling, a sandy bottom and gentle waves. B. osujohn Posted April 19, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Thank you for the information, it was just what I have been looking for. Was the Beach crowded or is it fairly secluded? Nice beach area to swim in and lay in a raft? Any other helpful information would be appreciated.
