RMS95 Posted April 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2011 So we cruise in 16 days and yesterday I ordered FunShip Dollars and asked that they be applied as on board credit and I just checked my booking online and its already showing up!!! Actually kinda relieved since I've read so much on here about it not showing up right away!! We also ordered several Bon Voyage gifts to be delievered to our room. Soooooooo excited and just wanted to share!!!:D
*Mach* Posted April 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2011 Outstanding!! Now, all you have to do is get on board and get that Fun Ship Special in your hand on the Lido Deck and you're good to go!!! Have a fantastic cruise!!! :)
eyegirl Posted April 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2011 What is the benefit of buying funship dollars as opposed to just putting it on your card?
taragl Posted April 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2011 Generally, people like to have some of their extras paid for before the trip to reduce sticker shock at the end. I also noticed after our trip on the Sensation, that all of our charges were placed "on hold" with the credit card company for a few days, then they were put through as actual charges, leading to a situation in which double the amount of our Sign and Sail charges was unavailable in our account for a few days until the holds cleared. I've never heard of that happening, so I'm not sure if it's common, but pre-buying gift certificates can avoid it all together.
