weatherman46 Posted April 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2011 We have just found out that we are in cabin C219 on the Sea Princess. As this is near the front of the ship, does anyone know how much motion there will be when the ship is at Sea?

It all depends on the seas, wave direction and weather. No way to predict other than you will experience more movement than mid-ship or even aft. Where are you sailing? If you're doing the 10-day itinerary from San Francisco to Alaska, the first couple of days are pretty rough. We had a forward cabin on Emerald deck (three decks down from you) and the motion, at times, was quite pronounced.

RickEk Posted April 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Barbados to San Fran 22 night cruise leaving next Monday 18 April. Ah... okay, well, once you pass Baja California, you'll be bucking the same southward-bound California Current. The two sea days after leaving Cabo San Lucas may be a bit rough. Treven Posted April 14, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Yes, the California Current between Cabo & Vancouver can get pretty choppy. When I was on the Sea Princess from FLL to SFO last May, we were about 3 hours behind schedule going up the west coast due to the heavy waves - in the wrong direction of course.:(

Did you have any problems with your cabin? We are booked in C218 out of SF to Alaska. Saw your note and thought I would ask.
