Host Kewlguy Posted April 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2011 We've been there twice. It's a very nice beach and easy to get to from the pier. What else would you like to know?
J&RLOVESTOCRUISE Posted April 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2011 What is there to do there and do you have a website address you can give me? How is the snorkeling? Thank you
steve ch Posted April 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2011 What is there to do there and do you have a website address you can give me? How is the snorkeling? Thank you Snorkeling is not possible at Jolly Beach most of the year due to a fine sand sediment in the water which reduces visibilty to near zero. I've been told that it can clear in the summer, but I've never seen it.

I haven't stayed at JBR, but I've spent a lot of time at Coco's next door. I guess your main problem will be your bags. If you don't want to spend the day on the beach, you could hire a taxi for a few hours when you check out of JBR and then you could try the zipline tour on Fig Tree Drive or take a look around English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard. I wouldn't personally spend a lot of time shopping in St Johns.
mortagegourmet Posted April 25, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2011 We were just there. We bought day passes and had a great time. There is a nice beach and great pool. They also had kayak, small sailboats and paddle boats that you can use.
GoNCruisnFamily Posted April 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2011 My family just got back this weekend from a week at Jolly Beach Resort (no cruise this spring break). We had a fabulous time there and can't wait to go back. The beach is not great for snorkeling, as others have said. You can go to the far right, out past the rock jetty, where there is some snorkeling to be done. We did a catamaran cruise to the reef at Cades Bay, which was incredible. The kids loved the pools, anything you want to drink is available. Food was ok, not as good as on a cruise. The view from the beach is unbelievable. I could spend everyday looking at the view!
