Freeport with 3 children and a senior - what to do?

One of our stops is Freeport, and we haven't figured out what to do. There will be DH and myself, our 3 kids (ages 6-10) and my mom (she is 64 and mobile, but not all that active/adventurous).

We were there last week and we took a taxi van ($5pp) to the next port over (Port Lucaya). The van let's you out in the middle of a market type area. We walked across the street, by the big fountain and entered the Our Lucaya resort grounds. We walked around the beautiful resort grounds and the kids enjoyed swimming, playing in the sand, collecting sea shells, etc. DH and I sat on the stone wall and watched them in the water. We also sat on the grass for a bit. We didn't pay b/c we didn't use any of the hotel facilities. We then walked through the market, did some shopping, had a cold drink at rum runners and then caught the van back. It was a nice day and didn't cost us much. If we were looking to stay longer we would've purchased a banana boat ride or other activity while at Our Lucaya resort - they have them right there on the beach.

I second what AandBmom said. I haven't found much to do in Freeport, but what is there is enjoyable. I would guess your kids would enjoy the beach. Ours do. We will be there next week and that is exactly what we are doing.
