Condition of Legend

Recommended Posts

My son and wife are sailing the Legend out of Hong Kong for a week after an 18-hr. flight from the States. Does anyone know the condition of the ship and if it has been rehabbed in her 16 years of sailing. Thank you, as always. I haven't been able to find anything at all about the Legend on these recent boards.

We sailed on her 10 years ago and it is still one of our favorite ships - loved the full windows in the dining room.

Sorry I can't answer your question about what the ship is like now but enjoy your cruise!

I've been on legend several times, and like all the ships in the fleet, she is very well kept. In addition to the occasional dry dock, all the ships in the fleet receive regular daily maintenance - the crews are in evidence nearly every day, fixing or painting this or that. While the carpet or upholstery may get a little tired as a ship nears a refurb, you should never find that they are anything but spotlessly clean and exceptionally well kept. If you find otherwise, the crew will surely want to know.

I was all set to sail on Legend next month and only had to cancel because of the earthquake-prompted redeployment. I would not hesitate to book her again.

And to answer your specific question, yes she has been refurbed, but I couldn't tell you exactly when. I wouldn't worry about it.

What sailing date are they on? If on June 4th there is a Meet and Mingle formed by one of the others on the cruise...and a thread in the M&M board here at CC. Have them hop on here and say howdy...

I agree it is a nice long flight over...hope they are going at least a day ahead.
