Valentines Day onboard

Hi

Just a quick question regarding spending valentines Day onboard, while the answers may be fresh in the minds of those who were cruising this year.

We will be on the Emerald next Feb 14th, sea day....do they do anything special???

We were on the Royal this past Valentine's Day (smaller ship), but they had some great displays outside the dining room, and lots of red and white balloons everywhere. They also had a group vow renewal ceremony.

We were on the Diamond this past Valentine's Day. It was a half at sea day/ half day in port. In the morning, you could have a special balcony breakfast (extra charge and had to be pre-ordered). I believe there were some some decorations about the ship, but nothing else special. You could buy flowers or special boxes of candy on board. I had read of a renewal of vows ceremony on some ships here on CC and was hoping it would happen on the Diamond, but it didn't happen. :(

Thanks...I mentioned to DH that he should be prepared to set sail with a gift for next Valentines Day, and he nearly choked on his beer! :D:D
