jerseygirl3 Posted April 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2011 We'll be on the 10/29/11 TA sailing of LOTS and I know the solarium isn't covered, but wondered if it will be too cold to use. I know weather is unpredictable, but just wondered if anybody else had experience with a Fall TA and being able to use the solarium. I'm guessing it will be too cool to use the regular open pool deck, but I was thinking the solarium might be more protected.
jjb415 Posted April 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2011 You never really know what to expect weatherwise. I've had all types of weather on the fall Transatlantic sailings. Hope for the best, but, be ready for anything !! :)
Tucker in Texas Posted April 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2011 Once you get closer to the US, the weather gets quite warm. I've heard more "complaints" from people who didn't bring warm weather clothes (shorts and t-shirts) than those that didn't bring enough cold weather clothes. I always bring at least two pairs of shorts and four knit tops and have worn them--the shorts twice at least. Tucker in Texas
PSCruiser Posted April 22, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2011 On TAs into and back from FL, the pools are often OK the first (or last) 5-7 days. However, you never know.
kimberley Posted April 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2011 The weather tends to be good as they sail the southern route. The problem you might have is actually finding a bed! Kimberley
