Strw Market In Nassau

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been to the straw market in nassau lately...we are in nassau next sunday morning and being that it will be a sunday morning the chances are that alot of the shops will not been open until later in the morning and if the ship sails at 1pm we will need to be back on the VOS by 12:30...bartering with those folks is always alot of fun..."oh big man let's make a deal" the wife and the kids are heading to the dolphin excursion...so it will be me and the down town streets of nassau...

We were on the Voyager last month and also docked in Nassau on Sunday.

The straw market was open and busy. Some shops were also open but a few of the bigger jewelry stores were closed. We took the Crystal Palace beach break excursion which left the ship around 8ish and were relaxing by the beach by 9. They provided transportation back to the ship around 11:50 but we left at 11am and took a taxi back to the straw market, walked around and then a few open stores in town and went back to the ship by 12:30. There is an attractive amrket area by the pier which we always enjoy but most of teh stores were closed.

Have a great cruise!!!
