St. Thomas local time

Can someone please tell me the difference between St. Thomas local time and ship time? I thought I read somewhere there was a difference but I can't find any information on it. I have a sail/snorkel tour booked for 12:30 PM St Thomas local time, so I'm wondering if that is the same as ship time or earlier/later.

Thanks!

I was in St Thomas in October and there was a one hour time difference from the east coast. I don't know when it changes.

The time changes with Daylight Savings Time. When the US drops back an hour in the Fall, St.Thomas stays on AST ( Atlantic Standard Time) and is one hour ahead. When we spring ahead an hour in the Spring we are again on AST along with the rest of the USVI.
