Cinema & Auditorium on DAWN deck 12

We're booked on a fall cruise on the Dawn and I've never seen any mention of the cinema on this board. Can anyone tell me what they use it for ? Do they show movies daily ? If so, are they fairly new releases ? Will it still be there after dry-dock ?

 

We've only been on the Spirit, and there was no cinema.

It will be gone after the dry dock in May. They used to show movies in there but I'm not sure if they still do.

Since the Star is the Dawn's sister ship. After the renovations on the Star, The Stardust theatre now doubles as the movie theatre/auditorium. I'm not really a movie buff so I can’t tell you how new the movies are, but the movie showing one day Feb 25 - Mar 5th, this year was at noon Stardust Movie Matinee: "Secretariat" (PG, 116 Minutes). They had movies playing a couple of days but that’s the only one I pulled from my dailies.
