cpg1220 Posted April 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2011 What is the deal with wanting to know where the beds are in the room? Is there a reason the placement of beds by the window or closet is better???
RBKL Posted April 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2011 It's like virtually every other question asked on these boards - preference. Some people feel it's crowded near the closet when the bed is near the closet. Other's don't like walking right into their room to the bed. Some people like sleeping close to the balcony. People in Boardwalk and Central Park balconies may not want their bed so close to the balcony where people may be able to see in from other balconies across from them if they don't have their curtains closed. Crowding near the closet is probably the biggest factor though.
Perki Posted April 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2011 for most it's just a personal preference - some really enjoy having the bed by the balcony door so they can leave the sliding door open and hear the ocean while they sleep. For other they feel there is more room with the sofa by the closet instead of the bed by the closet...me and hubby personally prefer the bed by the closet/bathroom as it is much easier to get to the restroom in the middle of the night LOL
pinkrosesdeb Posted April 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2011 On the Oasis class, the closet location has a lot to do with convenience. Our bed was right next to the closet, daughter's closet next door was closer to balcony. Her set up was much easier to deal with. It was so hard to get in our closet. You had to sit on the bed to open the door and it was not very easy hanging clothes. We also found storage space to be at a premium on the Allure. debshomespun Posted April 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2011 I prefer the bed by the balcony. Closer to the ocean and can listen to it all night long. Then I definitely know I am on a cruise!
