Tampa hotel, on our route?.

Dh and I will be staying a few days pre cruise on Treasue Island. Friends going on the cruise with us will be driving down the day before. Looking for a hotel that will be close to our route to the port that will allow them to leave their car there. Any recommendations ? Not terribly pricey, but not a dump. Thanks

The Holiday Inn Rocky Point usually has park and cruise packages. The Rocky Point area is near the airport in Tampa and at the east end of the Courtney Campbell Causeway (Hwy 60) which crosses the bay from Tampa to Clearwater (Pinellas County - Clearwater is north of Treasure Island on the Gulf). It would be easy to access on your way from Treasure island to the port.

The Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and Chase Suites Rocky Point are all good choices because they have a port shuttle to and FROM the port. Another inexpensive hotel would be the Howard Johnsons on Fortune St in Tampa. They have had some pretty good rates depending on the time of year. I believe they have a park and cruise pkg but you may need to call. They are only 1 miles from the port.
