love2bonboard Posted April 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Has anyone stayed in this inside cabin? I was wondering if chairs being dragged/scrapping accross the floor, from the terrace pool above, will be a noise issue.... Should I move?
cruisebum50 Posted April 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2011 but have been in B750 and never heard any noise from above and I am a light sleeper so if there had been any noise I would have heard it. However, we did have people pouring liquid down on us while we were standing at the rail looking at the glacier! After calling security and since none of us could tell what it was, though it appeared to be foamy, the poor cabin steward was told by his supervisor that he had to scrub the deck! Don't worry about noise, but do worry about rude passengers above you!

Thanks, it is an inside cabin, so if we get liquids poured from above, we have worse things to worry about :p
cruisebum50 Posted April 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I looked at the deck plans after I posted and thought to myself, well... they won't have to worry about liquids from above! ;)
RickSue Posted April 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2011 I have to say that when we were on the Diamond we did hear deck chairs scraping above us every night - drove me absolutely NUTS. I wasn't very happy with our travel agent. Can't remember the cabin because it was a few years ago but if it were me I'd never book anything with wooden deck above me - I'm very careful now. That is what I was worried about. I called Princess and they moved me.
zahav1 Posted April 27, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Good idea to move. We were on the Star under the Terrace pool table/chair area. This was during Christmas week and ship full of teenagers who never went to sleep. They dragged chairs all night long. We called the purser and they did go up there to stop them, but it continued anyway. We were finally moved to another cabin 4 nights later. Never Again we'll be under that pool or under any chairs /table areas.
love2bonboard Posted April 27, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Yes, I feel a lot better now after I changed rooms. They moved me to B111 at the opposite end. I think I have the Bridge above me, which should be nice and quiet.
