Caye Caulker Water Taxi?

My wife and i will be in Belize this summer off the NCL Spirit. Looking to take the water taxi independently to Caye Caulker, but wated to know how rough it was. She gets motion/sea sick pretty easy. We have been on one cruise and tendered twice before and she has never had a problem, but on a deep sea fishing trip it was another story. Anyone been on this water taxi that can comment on it?

The ride is "inside the reef" so 90% of the time the water is calm as glass. when we get strong winds the waves will kick up...I see people sleeping on the boat all the time.

I nodded off for a brief time on the way back, though this might have been partially due to the cheap drink prices at the bar at the split. I'd have probably slept more, but it was uncomfortable with my 5 y/o curled around me sleeping soundly.
