scrozuk Posted April 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2011 I do have some sympathy for them, I mean the buses are a public service for the locals, and we take it for granted the availability of such a service. For those in rural areas it's a lifeline, and the last thing you want as a local is to find you can't get on a bus because of it being full of tourists. That said, it is up to the local government to do something about the service, because it could affect tourist trade. When we visited Nassau, we did feel a lot of the tourism is concentrated in one area around the port, and think that with some careful planning, they could open up the islands potential more. Get more tourists onto the island and enjoy it, they are more likely to spend. In the one street I lost track of how many cigar shops, liquor stores and jewellery stores there were...
