LadyPandora407 Posted May 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2011 Does anyone know if these ports have actual Cruise Centers like St Thomas and Cozumel have or are they more like Grand Cayman where you do all your shopping right in town.

Freeport is a busy industrial port. All that is right there is a small straw market, bar, and a souvenir shop. The thing to do is to take a shared cab (5 bucks) to "Our Lucaya." There is more shopping there, restaurants, a casino, and access to excursions there. As you leave the ship in Nassau, you must walk through the terminal. I think they call it "International festival" (don't really recall.) It's a not so nice place with a lot of souvenir type shopping. After you walk through it, you'll be where the taxis and horse carriages are. The straw market, and Bay street shopping are a short walk from there.
