A few questions

I had originally posted this in my last thread but thought I would get more replies if I created a new thread.

What sort of souvenirs are sold at Walmart in Puerto Vallarta?

Do they still have the Latina Fiesta show onboard? How often is this on?

Can you get a free laynard in the Casino on the Splendor?

Cheers

Hate to say this but people probably just do not know the answers - lanyard - YES - you can get in the Casino as far as souveniers I would just go and see - personally, I would buy my sourveniers at a local stall not at Walmart - they would be made in China - how cool would that be. I always go way back in a village or town and you get truly the authentic stuff that the locals buy - on the main drags it is just over priced junk.

I have been to Walmart in PV many times. It is great. The prices are the best in town. You will see many ship employees shopping there to stock up on snacks and the like. As for souvenirs that you can buy there, you can get vanilla (the best for baking), booze. beer, postcards, sombreros, keychains, mugs and lots of other stuff (no jewelry). If you are a foodie, walk down the food aisles and check out what they have. I always like to buy foodstuffs, such as condiments, salsas and spices for my Mexican cooking. Check out the Cambell's soup as they have varieties you can't get in the states. They also have all kinds of chips (the jalapeno potato chips are my favorite) and cookies. A trip to the grocery aisles are a cultural experience. Also in the front of the store there is a paletaria. They sell the Mexican version of frozen fruit bars. Try one (my wife's favorite is cantaloupe), they are fantastic. Hope this helps and have a great cruise

I'm not sure why you would want to buy souvenirs at Walmart. Why not utilize the local vendors and help their economy rather than go to an "American" store like Walmart? It kind of defeats the purpose of going to a foreign country.
