Trying to accomodate multiple desires on excursion

So, I'm looking for suggestions on places to visit in Cozumel. It'll be me & DH, MIL & BIL. MIL & I would like to snorkel, but she has asthma, so I'm not sure she'll be allowed to. I was thinking of a place w/ optional snorkeling, so if we decide we want to & can, it'll be available. MIL also wants to do some souvenir shopping. DH & I love the ocean, but aren't sun worshippers, so we'd like somewhere w/some shade & stuff to do/see. BIL says he "doesn't do sand," but he does love to drink, so I think he'd deal w/ the sand if we took him to an AI w/ an open bar!! I've done a lot of research & thought about Nachi, Mr. Sancho's, Playa Uvas or Chakanaab, but can't decide between them! I had also considered the Bar Hop tour, but I figure that will rule out our chance for snorkeling or much of anything else. Any advice/suggestions from those that have been with all our desires in mind are appreciated! Thanks!

We just got back from Cozumel last week. We booked an independent excursion with www.cozumelsailing.com

 

Dan was great and we had a semi-private day sailing. They took us to 2 different snorkel spots, a private beach, yummy lunch and drinks were included. They even arranged for a taxi to get us back to our ship in PLENTY of time for shopping!

 

It was a terrific value and I would highly recommend this to anyone going to Cozumel.
