We have a cruise booked for August and wonder if anyone has stayed at the Fairmont Hotel and would welcome their comments. Looks really nice but curious as to how far from airport and cruise terminal. We are cruising Holland if that helps. Thanks!

no, it is a seattle roundtrip cruise so this hotel is in Seattle.

You will need a taxi, depending upon the time of day and what roads are closed for Viaduct work, if there is a Mariner's Home game and the average traffic, it might take you as little as 10-15minutes from the airport. Light rail now goes to SeaTac Airport, but not sure which connections you would need to get downtown. You will again need a taxi to go to the Cruise Terminal. Again, depending upon the time of day you are going ot leave for the ship, the traffic can be ok, or it can be like any other city that doesn't have a good rapid transit system. Oh, if you rent a car while in Seattle, watch out for the bike riders...you MUST share the road, if you are not used to sharing a lane with a bicyclist, it might be a challenge. But, you are close enough to everything for sightseeing, that if you are adventurous, you can walk (remember, Seattle has as many hills as San Francisco) or take the light rail or city buses.

Hope that helps

If you take the Link Light Rail from the airport you will get off at the University Street Station Bay A. The Fairmont is about 1 1/2 blocks from there. A short walk unless you've got a lot of bags. We're staying there next weekend and will be taking the Light Rail. You'll enjoy the Fairmont.
