Cruising in Summer...More Energy?

It's been a while since we've cruised in the summer months (June/July/Aug). I remember the party atmosphere of our first cruise (in June).

 

I'm wondering if that is still the "norm" for a June cruise?

 

Lots of younger folks bringing their energy to the deck parties, mexican buffet deck party, etc...

 

Just seems like it has been more subdued during non-summer cruises. I'm wondering if it also was due to it being our first cruise, or do summer cruises really have more "energy?"

I've never taken a cruise that wasn't during the summer, so I have nothing to compare it to. There will be more kids and teenagers on a cruise during the summer, so that might have something to do with a more lively or party feel to the cruise.
