FinallyConvincedDH2Cruise Posted May 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2011 We have been waiting for art work purchased on the Dream, never got it and filed a dispute with our Visa card. DH got this in his email today... Dear XXX: Thank you for your voice mail and for sailing with us onboard the Disney Dream. Our records indicate that you purchased or won artwork from West End Galleries/Minerva Fine Art during your cruise. We want to make you aware that we have discontinued our relationship with West End Galleries/Minerva Fine Art. At this time, they have informed us that it is no longer possible to fulfill your order, and we so sincerely regret any disappointment this may cause. We are in the process of providing a refund of $XXX onto the account ending in XXXX, which was used to pay for your shipboard charges. The transaction should appear on your monthly statement within two billing cycles. If you have any questions, please e-mail us at dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com or call me at 407-566-3778. Again, I truly regret any disappointment and hope this incident will not affect your regard for Disney. There is magic in the Disney name, and we hope to have the chance to sail with you again one day soon. Sincerely, Joel Hayes Executive Guest Correspondent Disney Cruise Line
Host Mick Posted May 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2011 Sweeeeet. We need a LIKE button. How long will it be until West End Galleries forms up again under a new name? They used to be Park West until they sullied that name.
jackparts Posted May 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2011 Why must you wait 2 billing cycles? Disney charged your card before you left the ship.
Host Mick Posted May 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2011 Why must you wait 2 billing cycles? Disney charged your card before you left the ship. It says within two billing cycles. That's in case Disney issues the credit on the day after the cycle closes. It will be nearly two cycles before it appears.
Florida_cruisers Posted May 16, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2011 I am glad because that is the one thing I really dislike when going with other cruise lines.
ivrier Posted May 16, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2011 Did you buy the artwork from an auction. I too purchased a Mickey Giclee from the Dream last Apruil 4 and have yet to see it on my doorstep. I have made multiple phone calls to Sandra who was incharge of the purchases made on the ship and she stated that it was still on process. How long did you wait till you decided to request a refund? thanks We have been waiting for art work purchased on the Dream, never got it and filed a dispute with our Visa card.
