Princess is not giving out certificates for crossing the Equator

we have just completed a 35 night cruise from Sydney to Hawaii return on the Dawn Princess and we are so disappointed with Princess... when we crossed the Equator with Neptune we were supposed to get a certificate but just before we disembarked we were told by the purser they were not handing out any certificates....has anyone else come across this

Thats a shame Bob, and such a pity they don't keep up with tradition. Surely couldn't be another cost cutting exercise.....surely not. You will have to go again!
