insurance from cruise line?

Recommended Posts

our TA is about $10 a person cheaper than cruise line insurance. Others will tell you to go with sites like Insuremytrip.com, which I've also done. It is even a little cheaper. Read the policy before deciding to see what you are getting for the money. It's certainly worth it if you can't make it on cruise day or something happens during the cruise.

Most people can obtain better policies for less money than what the cruise line offers. I always research policies on Insuremytrip.com - very easy web site to use and you can quickly check out the prices and coverage for many different insurers. The one time the cruise ship rates can be competitive are for seniors; the cruise ship charges the same price no matter what age you are whereas when you purchase travel insurance privately age is generally a big factor in the pricing.
