In port 12 - 7 Any suggestions?

I will be on the NCL Sun in early Dec and the port time is scheduled for 12 - 7. I will be on my own with DD8 and DS10 since DH will be diving. We went with stingray sailing last year but are looking to do something different this year since DD was scared of the stingrays. We were thinking of going to Boatswains Beach but Im not sure if it will work out due to the timing - it looks like the lagoons close at 2 and the transportation is only available in the morning. Does anyone have any suggestions for things that we can do in the afternoon?

I'm not a fan of the turtle farm but that's just me. I found it kind of sad. However, it might be a good option for you and your kids. I think the timing should be just fine. Does your ship have an excursion there or are you planning on doing it on your own? Other than that, you could also take a taxi to Seven Mile Beach and hang out if your kids like the beach.

I think Grand Cayman is very pretty but it really is more geared toward water activities than land activities

I wanted to save some money and do the turtle farm on my own, but with the ship not coming in until noon, we will miss the free shuttle and wont get to swim in the lagoon it appears. So I am worried about not getting to experience all of boatswains and paying too much by doing the NCL version of the excursion.

Just a thought: I was in Grand Cayman 2 months ago and I took the public bus (van) for $2.00 to Seven Mile Beach. I think the van goes to the turtle farm also. Look up their routes on the public bus system on Grand Cayman. It is like 2 blocks from the pier by the library. They tell you where to catch the van when you want to go back to Georgetown.
