Thomson Dream inside cabin deck 6 - number 6092

Recommended Posts

Hi Sue,

Not been in it but looking at it's position it should be OK. Handy for the lift and stairs.

WE were further forward on Deck 6 in an outside but the inside opposite us was empty and they left the door open and I got a few quick pics, see below

There was also a sofa opposite the foot of the bed that's not in the pic.

Hi Berwyn

Do you know the number of that inside cabin? thinking of booking the Dream for next summer. Just back off Celebration, we usually book inside cabin deck 4. Also, how does the Dream compare to celebration and Spirit.

Thanks

Hi Mags, it was 6026 near the front of the ship. It was nice and quiet down there. We had 6024 across the hall.

Whatever you do do not get a cabin at the back of the ship on decks 5 and 6 between the stern and the rear lifts there is a lot of vibration down there when the ship is moving.

We didn't like the layout as much as the Spirit. While the lounges were nice She's got no lounge bar like Horizons to sit and see out of. She did have a proper theatre though with fixed seats all facing the stage.

The Andromeda buffet was odd, it was shaped like a horseshoe with one long serving area on one side and a shorter one on the other side. Not a balanced one where you can go in from either side and they are the same and meet in the middle.

As I was on the 1st full week's cruise last year I had instructions to get plenty of information for others.

You can see pics of many of the ships areas here in my album, just click on the folders on the right of the screen to see different areas.

P.S. Mags,

She does have a smaller buffet restaurant, Sirens up on deck 11 and not many people find it straight away. Also the main pool is up here, a proper pool, though not huge, with a sliding roof so it can be used when weather is bad.

As well as the small plunge pool the same as Spirit at the back of the ship.

All the main stuff, bars, lounges and casino etc are on deck 8. Which is handy.

You only need to go up for the buffets and pool or down to deck 4 for the waiter service restaurant..

But when we were aboard Thomson's had only just got their hands on her after the dry dock in Palermo and the ash cloud. But by now they've had 12 months to do a refurbishment of some sort and put their own stamp on her.

Hi Berwyn

Looks good to me, so going confirm it. We like the look of it due to it being a bit more central as my hubby is not a good sailor and we cruise on the 29th October for 13 nights, starting in Palma and ending in Tenerife. Lets hope we will still be dreaming after it.

Thanks for the info

Hi Sue,

You'll be better there then as it won't move so much if it gets rough.

But out in the Atlantic if it is calm the sea swell is a bit higher than the Med so you go up and down a bit more.

Hi Berwyn

Thanks very much for that information, I'm almost sure we'll try the Dream for next summer, the problem now is when to book. We usually book a year in advance and get free all inclusive. It's not that me and OH are big drinkers but it's nice to know that whatever we drink is free, lattes, cocktails etc.

I'm now looking forward to New Year on Destiny
