San Pedro-CP or DT parking with POST cruise stay

Everything I find about the Park and Cruise packages for both the Doubletree and Crowne Plaza, people talk about staying there Pre-cruise.

Has anyone ever parked there and used the one night stay post cruise?

I am going to call both places and ask, but thought I would see if anyone has ever done that.

We live locally and are driving our car to the port. However, we have a friend getting off a ship the next day, so we thought maybe we would park there and stay the night. It would save us driving back up to San Pedro the next day from Orange County.
