Dolphin Encounter & Stingray City from Carnival

Have any of you done this? At only $99 it seems like a good cheap way to interact with dolphins as well as the stingray city. If you've done it, was it good or didn't you get to do much with the dolphins?

Personally, I wouldn't suggest booking this excursion with Carnival. When we went to GC there were about 10+ people outside the gate who provided the very same excursions as Carnival. If memory serves me correctly we paid either $45 or $50 for an excursion which included a trip to Stingray City and a little snorkeling afterwards. Can't tell you about the dolphin encounter though.

They do both Dolphin Encounter and Stingray City for $99 total? That sounds too good to be true. Check to see how many are in the water for the Dolphins.

We're planning on booking this excursion for our July cruise...would also like to know more about it. It does sound like a good deal and would love to interact with the dolphins, even if it's just for a few minutes. And I've heard great things about StingRay City.

Just be aware that Dolphin Encounter is different from Dolphin Swim. The Encounter is done in waist-high water and is aimed at non-swimmers and children. The Dolphin Swim includes the swim part.

Be careful=- there is a reason it is cheap- you are encountering dolphins NOT swimming.

Stingray city is about 25-30 total
