We have used both the Legend and Spirit and have loved our trips on both. Have booked on the Quest in the Summer which will be our first trip on the bigger ones. We are looking at a trip on the Pride for spring 2012 but have heard that the food and service is not so good as the other small ones . Can anyone reassure us

Not sure where you are setting the benchmark, and how reliable you deem your source of information. We sailed on The Pride last year, Hong Kong to Singapore, and it exceeded our expectations from a variety of available food selections. Only limitations appeared to be in certain fresh fruits.

Needless to say we enjoyed it as much as others that we are booked once again on The Pride, sailing in three weeks R/T Copenhagen 15 day Norwegian Fjords, and looking forward to a more varied menu of local delights. Again, we believe that the Sisters all offer similar standards but each has it's own trademark chef. Hope this helps you.

We too were on the Pride this March (Hong Kong to Singapore) and found everything wonderful. We even had rather bad weather (missed the island picnic, for example) but that did not dull the spirits of the crew or passengers that we could see, We have done the Triplets, the Odyssey, numerous cruises on Regent, and still find those small ships delightful. I don't think you have to worry. Maxine

Each cruise on every ship differs a little in the food department - generally entirely depending on which chef/chefs are on board at the time. Some are wonderful, others very good but not quite as good, and it is all down to luck as to which chefs are on your particular cruise. I would say that it has nothing to do with any particular ship of all the five (six shortly) you are on. The same applies, but to a lesser extent, to the level of service.
