What Western and Eastern Caribbean ports are the most Gay friendly?

Trying to decide which to take Eastern or Western Caribbean cruise. Want to go to gay friendly places. What do you think?

Really gay friendly ports:

 

Eastern Caribbean: St. Thomas, St. Maarten

 

Western Caribbean: Costa Maya, Cozumel, Roatan (Honduras)

 

Why I say these ports are friendly is because a boat load of gay guys (Atlantis Events) can show up at these ports and have no problems. :)

 

 

Ports to Avoid at all Costs:

 

JAMAICA, BAHAMAS and lesser so Grand Cayman (The Caymans are working on it though so they're not intolerant as the other two countries mentioned but they're not quite there yet either.)

thanks.....we are planning on booking a main stream cruise or str8 cruise, but wanted to know the ports......been to the other ports before......but not as a gay couple

I would add San Juan to the list of positive places to visit.

I would agree that San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Martin are very gay friendly!

 

As always I would be careful about PDA's etc....no matter where you go.

The first time we went to Cozumel (many years ago) we had a hard time getting a cab to take us anywhere. We were told it was because we were two guys without any women, but things have changed over the years. We have not had any problems the last few times in Cozumel. Last October we were in Grand Cayman, and one friend that was with us is.... well.... rather obviously gay, and we didn't have any problems at all, so I would say Grand Cayman has come a long way too. :)

Congratulations on your cruise booking! NCL is really a gay-friendly cruise line. I'm going on the same sailing in late August but have already been on the ship twice. If you have any questions about her, I will be glad to help you out as best as I can. :)
