reasonable hotel near Princess cruise port

We are sailing out of PR for the first time in a long time, so I am pretty rusty on how to find a reasonable, clean hotel for an overnite before the cruise. Would appreciate suggestions of web site you have used, and hotel/motel, etc. that would fit the bill. Thanks.

Youll want to saty in a hotel in Old San Juan if possible. Most of these hotels require a minimum 2 night booking. I secured a hotel for one night in the convention center area. You can take a cab to the port and it is about 15 minutes in the taxi. I booked the Sheration Hotel and Casino for #113.00 a night

I agree with the above poster...if you can get a hotel in Old San Juan, grab it! I always get pretty good deals on hotwire...the only thing is that you pay in full, can't cancel, and don't know what hotel you're at until you've paid, but if you're not too picky you should be able to get a good hotel at a decent price. :)

Miller: How did you get the Sheraton for $113 per nite? Thru Priceline, etc? Did you request a 4 star hotel?

I booked it through expediaabout 6 weeks ago. Actually, I thought it was in Old san Juan and recently found out it wasnt, but its a nice hotel and we can cab it into Old san juan so it worked out
