retirement condo ships?

Hey, I'm due to spend 15 days through the Canal on her this Oct.

AND, there are days I feel like I need a "dry dock" ;)

r.

Didn't we talk you out of that yet:D:p? Hey, I could use a good dry dock to replace a few failing "parts":D.

I think that HAL are advertising some of those staterooms as back to nature complete with Finnish steam rooms.

And to make it even more attractive...most people seem to be getting a $400-500. credit on their next HAL cruise when they stay in one of those cabins!

When the HAL CSR made the booking and said that those cabins were HOT she did not mean that they were popular-just hot as in no A/C.

For Himself-

I have a friend married to a Lutheran pastor. They live very modestly.

However, the husband has a great sign in his office- it says "This job doesn't pay much, but the retirement plan is out of this world!"

I thought it was kind of neat!

(sorry if this is off topic- but for those of us who can't afford millions of dollars we hopefully have other things to look forward to!)

Our retirement home was worth $300000 before the market tanked and is now worth about $225,000. We have a $350 monthly condo fee and our combined Social secuirty is about $2500 monthly. Trading 2000 sq. ft. on land for 250 sq. ft. at sea would entail a real adjustment but then if we could furnish the cabin with our belongings and redeorate as we chose, could it work? Just looking for further thoughts.

Well mostly, but I'm still weighing some options.

Most likely will change.

The only "But" is that I really want to try that class of HAL ship before they disappear.

I definitely appreciate all your input,

r.

PS: For me it would be parts, paint, re-decorating, and a "Retreat Retrofit" ;)
