Cruising Wonder Posted March 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2005 My fiance and I are going on our first cruise during the July 4th holiday and were wondering what it is like? Do they do anything special? Also, is this a good time to go? Any help is greatly appreciated. All of you here at Cruise Critic have been extremely helpful and I just want to say thanks!! Aquarian Posted March 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We have only sailed once during July 4th and it was with Royal Caribbean. We were in San Juan on the 4th and of course, they celebrate too. We watched fireworks in SJ from the ship. Dinner in the dining room had a definite 4th of July theme. One really neat memory was in the atrium while we waited for permission to to disembark in SJ, someone started singing "America the Beautiful" and EVERYONE joined it. What a great way to start the day.
Coolmama_1 Posted March 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2005 We sailed last year on the Golden on 7/4. It was very festive with lots of red white blue decorations. It was a great time.
Captain Hook Posted March 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2005 We sailed the Caribbean Princess last year on July 4th. Yes, there were alot of decorations in the atrium - I remember we took some pictures. I can't really remember too much else. The display was very nice.
