July 4th on the Caribbean Princess?

Cruising Wonder

Recommended Posts

My fiance and I are going on our first cruise during the July 4th holiday and were wondering what it is like? Do they do anything special?

Also, is this a good time to go? Any help is greatly appreciated. All of you here at Cruise Critic have been extremely helpful and I just want to say thanks!!

We have only sailed once during July 4th and it was with Royal Caribbean. We were in San Juan on the 4th and of course, they celebrate too. We watched fireworks in SJ from the ship. Dinner in the dining room had a definite 4th of July theme. One really neat memory was in the atrium while we waited for permission to to disembark in SJ, someone started singing "America the Beautiful" and EVERYONE joined it. What a great way to start the day.
