cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #51 Share Posted June 12, 2011 More silly hats... This was amazing to watch....and that he did not drop one thing My daughter did not like her flower hat so switched.... Everyone else refused to wear their balloon hats out, but I walked arounf for the rest of the afternoon with it on my head. I was teasing the kids saying I was going to wear it to dinner. Finally once back on board heading down our hallway, my son took it off my head, ran in front of me and popped it.
hfweather Posted June 12, 2011 #52 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Thank you so much for your wonderful review and pictures. You are helping me, 84 days til I'm back on the Inspiration and I was having withdrawls! Thanks again!
cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #53 Share Posted June 12, 2011 After our friends left, we walked around for a bit and did a little shopping. About 5:30 we all started to get hungry and we decided it was time to go eat dinner. Tonight since we were in port till 8pm the dinning room was dead. We were in and out in about an hour. Most of the waiters and staff were just standing around waiting for guests to show up... After dinner we went up to the lido deck to see Cozumel slip into the shadows... They are building a new duty free shopping area on the pier and you first enter/exit. They are forcing everyone through there when they are getting back onto the ship. Tonights sunset...sorry taken from dinning room window.

cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #55 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Another sunset from this evening. This area is for crew only...as you can see they are hanging out playing guitar and having a relaxing drink. Tonight was real windy on the upper decks. Looking into the bridge. And this is what was waiting for us when we returned to the room..
cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #56 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Wed. June 8th - Sea Day We really did not feel like sunbathing again today so we just walked around the ship and did alot of the activities that they have on board. We played scattagories and giant jenga. Both were real fun. We also did the digital scavenger hunt. Which was fun, but exhausting running around in 20 minues trying to get all the shots..we came in second because my daughter did not read one of the clues correctly. hear no evil see no evil speak no evil was one of the clues another was building a human pyramid
cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #57 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Our final diner...we did tip our waiter extra money for the wonderful job he did all cruise. He seemed very appreciative, I think with anytime dinning they do not get alot of extra tips since people switch around so much. But we like him so much that we requested him each evening. Our waiter Deni and one of his staff singing happy birthday to me...celebrating the 45th.. Our final sunset pictures...
cespo Posted June 12, 2011 Author #58 Share Posted June 12, 2011 That eveing we were not in a rush to pack since we were doing self debarkation. We did go see the comedy shows again, but half way through we realized it was the same show as the previous night. I did make another small donation to the slots. And our final towel animal All in all we were very happy with the cruise and had a wonderful time. We would not hesitate to book the Inspiration again. There have been a few minor changes since we cruised last year, but I think in all for the better. All the staff was friendly, the ship was always being cleaned and really do not have anything to complain about. Carnival once again did a great job!! One thing we did notice is there is no longer an art gallary on this ship. There was no art auctions either. It does not effect us either way we never bought anything but just thought it was interesting that they longer have it. I hope you all have enjoyed the review and if you have any specific questions please feel free to ask...Chrissy
AQW Posted June 12, 2011 #59 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Great review, thanks! We are sailing the Inspiration through the Panama Canal to her new West Coast home in December, so I read this review with interest. Glad to hear you enjoyed her so much! I could not agree more about Native Way - Sharon is so accommodating and they REALLY take care of their guests. We also did the Rays, Reef, and Rum Point excursion last October when we sailed the Freedom and it's the best excursion we've ever done. We liked it so much we're doing it again in December! We did not have the pleasure of meeting Captain Chris, but I can highly recommend Everton and Solomon - Everton made such an impression on my kids that my 6yo daughter still sometimes mentions "Mr. Everton" in her nightly prayers, some eight months later. Native Way is just a tremendous first-class operation all the way... and reasonably priced, too. You have a beautiful family - thanks for sharing your experience! :)

alreadypacked Posted June 12, 2011 #61 Share Posted June 12, 2011 That evening we checked our daughter in Club O2 which is for 14-17 yrs olds. She did end up hanging out with about 4-5 people the whole cruise. They did not hang out inside the club much, more just around the ship. The main reason for not staying in Club O2 was because of all the kids being there and the way they where behaving. Really not her cup of tea and could not handle drunk 14 and 15 yr olds. Wow--drunk 14 and 15 yr olds! I wonder where they got the booze--were bartenders serving them or were they raiding their parent's Bon Voyage or smuggled stash? I think mainly stealing it from their parents stash or even smuggling on themselves, but we did witness once they tried getting older people to buy it for them and it did not work out very well. themnms Posted June 13, 2011 #65 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Last few pictures of Rum Point... you can actually see the rain coming down in this shot At this point I think everyone else decided to start leaving also. I really felt bad for the people on the jetskis. The visability was not the greatest and with the rain hitting you it must have not been a fun ride back. The rain was coming down so heavy that I just put the camera away and did not get any more shots.. All in all we had a wonderful day despite the rain. I will say it again if you are considering the sting rays, snorkeling or rum point, I will highly recommend using Nativeway Sports. They are a class act and can not say enough good things about them. We were back to the port area about 1:30ish and the lines were super long. We did finally get on a tender a little after 2 and there was still tons of people waiting to get on. Every one was soaked from the rain, and cold. Carnival was handing out dry towels to guests as they were entering the tenders. Once back on board and right near the xray machines they again were handing out warm towels. This was waiting for us when we got back to our room.. your review of nativeways and the wonderful excursion made me remember ours in November with Grandad who past this January. they took such good care of the Grandparents on this trip, from Sharon at the port to Everton and Capt Chris. It was the highlight of that trip!!

Rodie H Posted June 13, 2011 #67 Share Posted June 13, 2011 I'm glad you and your family enjoyed the cruise. I remember now seeing your family around the ship. My family also had a nice time. As this was my fifth cruise, second with Carnival, I'm pretty sure I won't do another Carnival. I much prefer Royal Carib. But, the price was right for our group and the dates fit in with the schedule for the family. I found compared to the Carnival Legend I took back in 2008 this was no competition at all! I glad you guys enjoyed it as well. This was def. a weird sailing and would not compare this to any other cruises. Yes we had a good time, but compared to all the others it was not the best in my opinion due to no fault of carnival though...

beffiegirl Posted June 13, 2011 #73 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Were thinking of a quick cruise at the end of Aug. Which cruise ship did you like better, Destiny or Inspiration? Destiny goes to Grand turk(which I've been wanting to go to) but cost way more. I have 3 kids so I want to pick something they will like. We went on Fantasy before, are they the same? Thanks for the help!
