Catnappers Posted June 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Hi Is it possible to self disembark with Cunard? We didn't realise this was an option until we sailed on Independence of the Seas in April. Having endured the Cunard disembarkation a few times, we're keen to self disembark if possible. We're on the QE Fjords and Waterfalls next month, and looking forward to sailing on the latest Cunarder. Gill and Gavin
Classiccruiser777 Posted June 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Yes, it is. Be prepared to leave the ship early. We have done this method three times on QM2 in Brooklyn. Best to stage your luggage somewhere near the gangway as the lifts are almost impossible to take on disembarkation day.
capnpugwash Posted June 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2011 If you are debarking in US the earliest is usually around 7am and about 7.15am in Southampton.

Mr&MrsHendricks Posted June 16, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2011 Self Disembarkation is an absolute doddle. Just register at the Purser's Desk a day or so before hand that you're doing it. Listen for the Captain's announcement that the ship has been cleared by customs etc, then head off when ever you want! We're just back from the Baltic on QE, and as posted above 0715 seems to be the typical earliest at Southampton.
