sg1phileshipper Posted June 19, 2011 #26 Share Posted June 19, 2011 First time I booked in June for a September cruise. Last year's cruise, I booked about 11 months ahead of time. Upcoming cruise, one year in advance. But my cruise in August 2012 beats them all. I booked back in March :D. Didn't wanna miss the ship I guess cindy

romnan Posted June 19, 2011 #28 Share Posted June 19, 2011 I try too book a year ahead of time for a number of reasons, mostly because it allowed me the time to spread the payments out. Now that I am retired I might rethink that and book much closer to sailing:)
travel with kids Posted June 19, 2011 Author #29 Share Posted June 19, 2011 OK..well, I guess I am not alone for booking a year ahead. I keep looking, hoping the price will go down. Not sure if we have ever paid top dollar for our cruises...not even DCL. Oh well, as many of you have pointed out...if it is the cruise you want, the time you want and the cabin you want, then go for it. And as Romnan pointed out...I will have more time to pay for it. Thanks for taking my poll. It has been fun watching the results.
cruiseaholic777 Posted June 19, 2011 #30 Share Posted June 19, 2011 I would book atleast 1 year in advance. You will have a much easier time finding the cruise you want and the rooms you want this way. If you need 2 rooms or more, it is much easier finding them together if you book early.
