amapola Posted March 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2005 We'd like to go to St. Peter's Great House and Mountaintop, then be dropped back in Charlotte Amalie. No beach stops. How long does one need to spend in each of these places? Has anyone used a taxi for this and what would be a reasonable cost for 2 adults? TIA!! CaribbeanBlue Posted March 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2005 A reasonable cost for this would be $15.00 to $20.00 per person. When you get off the ship ask one of the local taxi's what they would charge to do this destination. Be certain that they are licensed cab drivers, they should have the blue taxi license plate in front and back. There have been a couple of instances of unlicensed taxis that have been scamming tourists and over charging. The Islander Posted April 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Hello, At a very leisurely pace, 45 minutes at St. Peter's Great House and an hour (if you want to sit and have some drinks/food and look in the shops) at Mountaintop. At Mountain Top if you are just looking at the view and thats it, 5 minutes would do. --Islander *****
