Fjord excursion advices, please!!

We will be taking our first cruise. Our ship will stop at the following ports/cities. If possible, we would like to visit/explore them on our own. Could any experienced travellers offer any adivces? We will be sailing on Celebrity Constellation. Thanks!!

Bergen,,dock 3 blocks from city center,,,took HOHO bus,,which was right at port,,,and saw all the main attractions,,,took funicular in pm,,when crowds gone,,,get a guidebook,and do on own...very easy...and great views from mountain,,,

 

Alesund,,dock 1 block from city,,easy walk to tourist office,,took tram,,,to observation tower on mountain,,great views,,,,saw town,,got off and wandered on own,,,great old ,restored buildings and nice wharf,harbor area....very easy,,,and can walk back to ship,,to rest,eat,,etc..and just take off again...

 

Good luck,,,wonderful scenery,,,and light almost all the time...and hard to sleep for fear you ll MISS something....dress warmly,,,got cold,,and rainy when there 2 wks ago...;)
