I.E review

Returned last week from Our I.E. cruise. Read the reviews before we went so, went with an open mind. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin (8502) was almost twice the size of the cabin we had last yr on the Ocean Countess. Very clean and lots of storage space. The bathroom was very dated but most importantly very clean. Only problem with our room was the air con didn't seem to work and it was terribly hot and stuffy. We did complain to the cabin boy but he said it was because it was hot outside! Suppose we should have followed it up but didn't bother.

Food was lovely. Lot's of choice. Had breakfast in the beachcomber and dinner in the Island restaurant. To much choice to choose from - hence the weight gain!

Pub was great except usually difficult to find a seat. Lookout bar was very quiet never very many in. Watched a couple of show’s, which we enjoyed. Bounty lounge was a bit “butlin’s” style entertainment, o.k. for a short while. Loved the sailaway bar when the weather wasn’t to windy.

All in all it was a great week. I think sometimes people expect a little to much for the money. Looking at the price of some of the other cruise ships, it’s a budget cruise and you pay for what you get.

Would I return – Yes!

Thanks mrs.c but how many aliases do you have? lol, you're confusing me now. I haven't stayed on Majorca for years so you must let us have a review of the hotel. On our most recent holiday we stayed at a Thomson Platinum TTTTT hotel and no way was it that standard. Although the food was good it was no better that 3* in my opinion and not up to Platinum status so I'm a bit suspicious now.

I have to say though that when we stayed after the cruise in Turkey it was great as the cruise was so full on we were ready for chilling out for a week.:) Now that was at least 4*+ hotel.
