mnwildfan2 Posted April 25, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2004 Hi Dany, Thanks for the link. It says that on the Mercury that the two lower beds convert to a king size bed? I thought that the converted to a queen size? Can anyone confirm/deny? Thanks. Jen 1st Cruise on Celebrity Mercury - Alaska 6/4/2004
SAN Posted April 26, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2004 I remember a king size bed when we sailed in 2000. Hope this helps.
Seaya39 Posted May 1, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Bed size in cabin - when we cruised on the Galaxy 4 years ago the beds put together were a size in between Queen and King. My husband is very sensitive to harsh detergents and since we were going to be on the ship for 14 days I brought my own King size sheets - they were just a bit too big, but Queen size would have been too small. Nanatravel Posted May 1, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2004 The Category 1's on Millennium class are just about the same size as Category 8's on the newly built Carnival Ships apx. 185 to 191 SF, but the balconies are larger on Carnival and there are a few "special" cabins that have huge balconies. This cabin feature is one of the pluses for Carnival IMHO. I also love their stations in the buffet dining rom which are open almost 24 hrs. and have so many different varietys to offer during lunch plus each station (at least 4) makes eggs and omlets fresh each morning. Shirley and Les Posted May 2, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Seaya39, Why didn't you just make your hubby wear PJ's to bed? They would have been easier to pack than a set of bed linens.
