We are about to reserve a 2012 Adriatic cruise on the Spirit, but we have never been aboard a Seabourn ship. Are there any specific cabins, or specific areas of cabins, what we should avoid, or that we should seek out? Thanks. LittleRedJohn.

You will want to decide if you want a suite with a large picture window or one with a Juliette balcony (wide enough for your shoes). But it's so easy to go topside that for many of us it doesn't matter.

Another decision is to know that some suites are handicapped accessible, with a walk-in shower and no tub. (Which I like). They also have a Murphy-type bed which, if needed, could be raised, but I have never had that done. I find them very comfortable. Also, the suites near the elevators are not noisy and I think, well-situated.

If you are very forward, then you might be wakened by the lowering of the anchor, on port days. Never bothered me. Deck 5 forward near the laundry room might be a bit annoying, but again, never bothered me.
