Evening advice for Istanbul

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I will be in Istanbul overnight on a Saturday in late July. Our ship will be there from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. the following day. My husband and I are in our 30's. I'm debating how to spend the evening hours.

I would like to go to the Turkish Dance Show at Hodjapasha Culture Center in Sirkeci and spend time on Istiklal street possibly for dinner and walking around exploring.

The show starts at 9:00 p.m. I am wondering if I were to try to both of these...which one would you recommend that we go to first?

I have a full day planned from about 8:30 a.m. and was thinking we would go back to the ship around 5:00 (rough estimate) to freshen up before the evening. Also, does everyone recommend that we eat dinner in Istanbul rather than on the ship?

Thanks in advance for your help!

We did and loved it. We had @40 of our roll call go to Sultanas for dinner and a show. One of our roll callers organized the whole thing. The restaurant sent two small buses to pick us all up and return us late. We really enjoyed the show and meal. I believe it was @ 54 euros for the whole deal including the deluxe meal (there were cheaper options)

Istanbul is such a wonderful unique place...... we wanted to enjoy as much as we could in what little time we had (same timeframe as you)

ENJOY !!!
