NY Port

For those who have cruised out of NY before, I have a question. When you get back to port are the porters waiting for you to help with luggage then or do you have to get your luggage and then go through customs and THEN get a porter. This will play and important part on how much I take with me..LOL sorry..I tend to over pack.

I believe you have to get your luggage and go thru customs before getting porter.

 

However not 100% sure about it and hopefully someone else is.

 

BTW do not know how many cruises you have been on bet most seriously overpack for first one or two and wear maybe half of what they bring.

When you get off the ship, you will be greeted by customs first before you are allowed to enter the luggage hall. once you are in the luggage hall, porters will be there to help you take your luggage to the street/your car. Be advised that is a bit of a walk from the luggage hall to the street/parking lot.
